Mission:
To provide an information system infrastructure that supports the use of technology in the instructional and administrative programs of MnSCU. Including recommendations and statement(s) of direction for the use of hardware and software within the infrastructure.

Committee Ground Rules: (Defined and maintained by committee)
- Quorum is made up of 2/3 members
- Meetings will be issue-focused
- Meetings will start on time
- Respect all opinions of the members
- Members are expected to RSVP meeting notices
- E-mail is acceptable communication between members
- Meetings will be held quarterly
- The chairperson may call special meetings as necessary
Committee Boundaries:
- Activities must support MnSCU Strategic and Operational Plans.
- Commitment of ITS Staff or budget will require approval of the Committee Sponsor.
Committee Authorities:
- Review/initiate infrastructure projects
- Decision making authority in the area of the Administrative Computer Center and networks where data or data and voice is a portion of the communication traffic.
- Recommend the direction and use of technology in Local Area Networks.
- Review and recommend the direction and use of technology within the enterprise infrastructure, e.g., hardware, software and identity and access management (iAM) used to support instructional and administrative and systems.
- Recommend the use of industry leading consulting service in specialized areas.
- Review and recommend technical performance measurement indicators to be published on ITS Web site, e.g., Enterprise System Availability, Identity and Access Management (iAM), etc.
- Advocate alignment of technical stakeholders with each other and the Office of the Chancellor.
- Convene meetings as necessary
- Adopt committee operating procedures
- Recruit & request replacement members using State-wide CIO group.
- Form sub-committees to work on projects
Communication:
The committee will post its active projects, a summary of its meeting minutes, and schedule of meetings and agenda on the ITS website.
